Week of April 19th

It has been a crazy couple of weeks with Easter, Literacy week, and PSSA tests. I am very proud of how hard the students worked on their tests!
We are back to a "normal" week this week.
Reading / LA: We are reading Nights of the Pufflings this week. We will be focusing on identifying important details by identifying main idea and supporting details. We will also focus on fact and opinion.
Math: We will be finishing our chapter dealing with fractions. We will be working with naming fractions, identifying equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, and estimating fractions. We will also continue to work on measurement with inches and centimeters.
Science: We have finished our unit on magnetism and electricity. We enjoyed a wonderful lesson taught by Mr. Brock dealing with electricity. We truly appreciated learning so much!
Social Studies - We are working on PA landforms and animals. There will be a test on sections 4-6 in our Pennsylvania book. A study guide should be coming home each night. Please make sure you return to school each day until we complete the packet. There is also a crossword puzzle that we completed on section 4 that is a wonderful resource to study.
